Questions
Before you buy
The things people ask most about this product.
The app looks broken — missing images and 'not found' links
This happens when index.html is opened by double-clicking it directly. That is expected and is not a fault in the product — the site needs to be opened through a local address rather than straight from a folder. Use the included 'Start MindEase (Windows).bat' or 'Start MindEase (Mac).command' launcher instead, or drag the mindease-app folder onto app.netlify.com/drop.
Mac says the launcher cannot be opened
Right-click the .command file, choose Open, then confirm. macOS does this for downloaded scripts the first time only.
Closing the launcher window stopped the app
That is normal — the small window runs the local server. Your saved results and journal entries are unaffected either way, because they live in your browser, not in that window.
Is my reflection data private?
Yes. MindEase is local-first — there is no backend and no database. Your answers, results and journal entries stay in your own browser and are never uploaded.
Can MindEase diagnose a mental health condition?
No. MindEase is a self-reflection and general wellness awareness tool. It does not diagnose trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, or any medical or mental health condition, and it is not a substitute for professional care. The app includes a disclaimer and a signposted support-resources list.
